Job Summary
Assistant Teachers for the Before and After School Program (2025-2026) at Union School. Responsible for facilitating hands-on activities from the Healthy Kids Curriculum (fitness, STEAM, academic, art) and providing homework assistance; ensuring a safe, healthy, clean, and engaging environment and serving as a positive role model. May assist with accurate attendance, registration, and staffing. Requires 18+ with a high school diploma or equivalent; preferred 1 year of experience with children under 13; TB clearance; ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Hours are 3:00–6:00 pm, part-time; benefits include employer-paid childcare and various health and retirement offerings.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years or older and hold a High School Diploma or equivalent
- Preferably 1 year of experience working with kids under 13
- Medically cleared of any communicable diseases including TB
- Must be warm, friendly, and upbeat. Exceptional people skills, professional, reliable, and prompt
- Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, carry (up to 50 lbs.), and do whatever it takes to keep up with the children
