Job Summary
Join Healthy Kids Programs as an After School Care Assistant Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. Part-time, non-exempt role serving school-age children (5–12) at Bio-Med Science Academy STEM School in Ravenna, OH, with responsibilities including leading hands-on activities from the Healthy Kids Curriculum (fitness, STEAM, academics, art), homework assistance, ensuring a safe and engaging environment, communicating with families via the Playground App, following state guidelines and program policies, and potentially handling attendance, registration, and staffing. Requires 18+ with HS diploma, and preferred 1 year of experience; physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.; eligibility for employer-paid childcare benefits; paid time off and benefits for part-time staff. Hours are 2:25pm–6:00pm, pay is $14.50/hour.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years or older
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Preferably 1 year of experience working with kids under 13
- Must be medically cleared of any communicable diseases including TB
- Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, carry (up to 50 lbs.)
- Warm, friendly, upbeat with strong people skills
