Job Summary
Area Director is the execution engine of Healthy Kids Programs’ field structure across New Hampshire. Responsible for staffing sites, ensuring licensing compliance, maintaining full site staff, and partnering with principals and school staff to ensure reliable, responsive operations. Key duties include recruiting, hiring, onboarding, scheduling staff with appropriate coverage, maintaining substitutes, coaching Site Directors, managing payroll and scheduling efficiency, monitoring enrollment targets and program quality, ensuring state licensing compliance, building strong school partnerships, and maintaining ongoing communication with the Regional Director. The role emphasizes hands-on, organized leadership across multiple sites, with a focus on staffing, enrollment, compliance, and collaboration with school leadership. Requires an Associate degree and 2-3 years of supervisory experience; background check and fingerprinting are required; CPR/First Aid and mandated reporter training keep are expected. Required Qualifications
- Associates degree with 2-3 years of supervisory experience
- Background in childcare, youth development, K–12 education, or a similar environment
- Experience managing and controlling staff schedules and daily operational coverage across multiple locations
- Comfort working directly with school administrators and building staff
- Familiarity with state childcare licensing requirements a plus
