Job Summary
Childbirth Educator RN teaching prenatal education in formal classroom or group settings using Great Expectations curricula; develops and updates class curriculum with leadership; tailors instruction to group needs; assesses teaching effectiveness; fosters positive health decisions and self-management; collaborates with NMH staff to plan, implement, and evaluate women's health programs; participates in special projects; requires RN licensure in IL, BSN, and teaching-certification experience (BLS instructor or childbirth educator) with 1-2 years of group teaching; part-time position with in-person delivery located in Chicago, IL.
Required Qualifications
- Registered nurse through IL Dept. of Professional Regulation
- BSN or equivalent
- 1-2 years group teaching experience; labor and delivery or postpartum nursing experience
- BLS instructor per AHA or certified childbirth educator through ICEA, PCE, Lamaze, etc.
