Job Summary
Provide consistent, trauma-informed supervision and care for adolescents ages 12–17 within a 24-hour residential setting. Support youth with emotional regulation, routines, and daily living skills while reinforcing individualized treatment goals and evidence-informed interventions. Conduct overnight monitoring, wellness checks, and site supervision as required to maintain safety and program continuity. Complete shift documentation, safety checks, and program-related records. Participate in team communication and care coordination processes. Full-time and casual opportunities available across day, evening, and awake overnight schedules in North York.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Child & Youth Care (CYW/CYC) or a closely related discipline
- At least one (1) year of experience supporting youth with complex needs, including exposure to: Sexual exploitation and/or gender-based violence, Trauma, homelessness, substance use, or high-risk youth populations
- Residential care, shelters, group homes, or similar environments
- Demonstrated understanding of trauma-informed and relational care approaches
- Strong boundaries, emotional awareness, and professional self-care practices
- Familiarity with crisis intervention principles
- Commitment to equity-informed, anti-oppressive, and anti-racist practice
- Broad Record Police Check (BRC)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in residential treatment or youth shelter programs
- Professional or lived experience supporting survivors of sexual exploitation or GBV
- First Aid and CPR certification
- Crisis prevention, de-escalation, or intervention training
- Multilingual abilities
