Job Summary
Deliver structured programs for children and youth, modifying activities to meet age-appropriate developmental needs. Coach and supervise participants while communicating with caregivers, staff, and volunteers. Maintain records including attendance sheets, area maintenance logs, and daily checklists. Work with the team to ensure the facility remains clean and well-maintained at all times. This role requires a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and Standard First Aid/CPR Certification 'C'. Candidates must hold a Clear Police Reference Check and Vulnerable Sector Screening. Mandatory training includes AODA, Health & Safety Awareness, Bill 168, PCI Compliance, WHMIS, and Child Safeguarding. Flexible hours based on program needs are available.
Required Qualifications
- A positive enthusiastic attitude
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills
- Standard First Aid/CPR Certification 'C'
- Clear Police Reference Check and Vulnerable Sector Screening
- Must be able to work flexible hours based program needs
- Willingness to participate in mandated training to be completed before or shortly after commencement of work including: AODA Training, Health & Safety Awareness Training, Bill 168 (Violence & Harassment in the Workplace) Training, PCI Compliance, WHMIS, Child Safeguarding Training
Desired Qualifications
- Healthy Child Development training or experience working with children in a recreational setting is an asset
