Job Summary

Child Well-Being Specialist provides direct interventions and recommendations to support child welfare within the Child Well-Being program. Responsibilities include monitoring physical environments and interactions to assess welfare concerns, advising facility decision-making on complex child well-being issues, documenting and transferring information for individual cases, providing crisis support and de-escalation, delivering ongoing education and tools for staff to respond to situations with children in a culturally sensitive, language-diverse context, and promptly submitting documentation to leadership (e.g., daily recommendations, end of shift logs, EMR notes). The role requires collaboration with facility staff and families, flexibility to work a 24/7/365 schedule, and the ability to travel as contract needs dictate. Must be licensed and hold a relevant master’s-level credential in behavioral health or related field, with post-licensure clinical experience with children and families, and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team. English proficiency is required; bilingual (English/Spanish) is desired.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Behavioral Health or related field
  • Full, current, and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW or LICSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Doctor-level prepared psychologist (LP), or equivalent
  • 2+ years demonstrated post-licensure work experience in child development, culturally aware and trauma-centered care, performing clinical evaluations in direct engagement with children and their families
  • 1+ year experience working in a multidisciplinary team-based environment
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Must be able to travel within the Continental United States (CONUS)
  • Must pass a drug test, motor vehicle record check, occupational health physical and lift test (if applicable), credit check, and a background check upon accepting a conditional offer of employment
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and have/maintain a clean driving record
