Job Summary
The Child Welfare Supervisor will oversee CCS program activities, supervising a unit of Child Welfare Specialists and/or Assistants. Responsibilities include planning, directing, and coordinating services across foster care, adoption, intact family, and counseling programs; providing individualized training and feedback; reviewing staff performance; ensuring productivity and timely data, billing, and documentation; and coordinating with the Program Director and collateral agencies. The role requires Master?s degree in social work or related field, 3-5 years in social services, CWEL license, state licensing as required by Illinois DCFS, and supervisory experience. Strong organizational and communication skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and ability to respond to emergencies and attend court are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Master?s degree in social work or related human services field
- Three (3) to five (5) years of progressive experience in social services
- State licensing/certification as required by the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services
- Valid and active CWEL License
- Supervisory experience and experience with Child Welfare preferred
- Ability to respond to client emergencies on a 24-hour basis, attend court, ACRs, staffing, and other related matters
- Excellent organizational, presentation, and pc/computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, verbally and in writing
- Background check clearance (criminal and CANTS)
- Valid drivernse, in good standing for the state of residency
- Access to reliable transportation
- Valid IL statutory minimum liability insurance coverage
