Job Summary
Child Welfare Specialist at the Child Advocacy Center in Oklahoma City. Investigates complex allegations of abuse and neglect, coordinates services between Child Welfare, the customer, and the multidisciplinary team, conducts complex investigations with interviews, research, and critical thinking, and provides extensive treatment and other services to children and families. The unit covers on-call 24/7 for serious allegations. Travel is extensive and requires a valid driver’s license and required car insurance.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of 90 hours from an accredited college or university; OR 3 years of experience related to child welfare work; OR A combination of education and experience.
- A bachelor's degree (in any field) to qualify; OR One year of experience as a Child Welfare Specialist (Level II).
- Master's degree (Level III); OR a Bachelor's Degree plus one year of experience as a Child Welfare Specialist; OR Two years of experience as a Child Welfare Specialist.
- Master's Degree plus one year of experience in professional social work in child welfare programs (Level IV).
- A Bachelor's Degree plus two years experience as a Child Welfare Specialist; OR Three years of experience as a Child Welfare Specialist.
