Job Summary
Lead worker and mentor to a unit of Child Welfare Specialists. Serves as backup supervisor and handles complex and difficult caseloads, providing case consultation and training in policy interpretation. Travels extensively (no less than two weeks per month outside the region). Leads staff meetings, coordinates efforts such as ICPC, monitors investigations and service plans, and prepares court reports. Requires a Master's Degree in Social Work or equivalent experience per qualifications; strong leadership, mentoring, and team-management skills are emphasized.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree plus one year of experience in professional social work in child welfare programs
- OR a Bachelor's Degree plus two years experience as a Child Welfare Specialist
- OR Three years of experience as a Child Welfare Specialist
