Job Summary
Conduct intensive case management for children and families by developing safety plans, monitoring treatment progress, and performing frequent home visits to ensure engagement and parental protective capacity. Provide documentation and data on child welfare activities in FSFN, produce periodic reports, and respond to Parent Needs Assistance referrals by reviewing family history, contacting collateral sources, and assessing crisis needs. Participate in regular staffings with community providers and family supports to discuss progress and maintain child safety, while consulting Behavioral Health Specialists for mental health crises. Report any suspicion of abuse, abandonment, or neglect to the Hotline immediately and complete all assessments within required timeframes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from a four (4) year accredited college or university
- Valid driver's license
- Clear driver's license check
- Proof of insurance
- Criminal background screening (Local Law Enforcement & FBI/FDLE) and Abuse Registry
- Drug Screening
- Child welfare certification within one (1) year of post-test
- Must pass a Level II Background Check
- Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret regulatory documents, contracts, policies, and case records
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from management, staff, clients, and outside agencies
- Ability to effectively present information to children and families, management, employees, and outside agencies
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to deal with several abstract and concrete variables
- Able to anticipate needs and/or problems based on current events and/or situations and to develop solutions
- Ability to operate standard modern office machinery, including fax, telephone, calculator, computer, scanner, printer, and copier
- Must be competent with Microsoft Office Suite programs, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Must be competent with basic e-mail protocol and procedures including sending, receiving, replying, attachments, and meeting scheduling
- Excellent written and oral communication skill
- Must abide by the highest standards of confidentiality
- Ability to sit for extended periods

Desired Qualifications
- Florida Board Child Welfare Professional Certification
