Job Summary
Part-time Child Welfare Assistant role with Lutheran Social Services of Illinois (LSSI) in Marion, IL. Perform social work, group and outreach activities under supervision, providing client monitoring and linkage to services, completing reports and documentation, and coordinating with supervisor and collateral agencies. Requires a high school diploma or GED; an AA degree is preferred. Valid IL driver’s license and transportation access are required. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma (or GED) required
- AA Degree with two years of college preferred
- Valid driver's license in good standing for the state of residency required
- Access to reliable transportation for visits, meetings, and to transport clients as needed
- Valid IL statutory minimum liability insurance coverage, bodily injury, and property damage
- Record of compliance with the law and clearance on the Illinois CANTS
- Demonstrate ability to communicate both verbally and in writing in a clear, comprehensible manner
