Job Summary

Coordinate Child Welfare case management activities by scheduling appointments for doctor visits, family visitations, and court appearances while arranging transportation for children and clients. Conduct home visits to assess foster care placements and interview clients to report findings on medical, financial, and psychiatric needs to assigned specialists. Provide administrative support by inputting case documentation, compiling social data, and assisting in meetings with families and service providers. Advise clients on available resources and refer them to community assistance, while advocating for services and maintaining communication among providers, families, and courts. Manage extensive travel requirements with a valid driver's license and car insurance.

Required Qualifications

  • valid driver's license
  • required car insurance
  • six months of experience in general office clerical work
  • providing care for children in a licensed day care facility
  • sales
  • public contact work
  • six months of technical or vocational training course work
  • completion of 15 semester hours from a college or university
  • one year of clerical experience in a governmental or non-profit social services provider environment
  • thirty semester hours of college
  • one year of clerical experience in a governmental or non-profit social services provider environment
  • two additional years of clerical experience in a child welfare environment
  • extensive travel
