Job Summary
Interact with children in the nursery under the general direction of the Family & Enrichment Director, ensuring their safety and well-being. Check in all children upon arrival following department SOPs, maintain records, and supervise the play area to prevent hazards. Lead age-appropriate activities, assist with physical needs, and sanitize toys daily per DOH guidelines. Report accidents, incidents, and policy violations to leadership immediately. Communicate clearly with parents regarding protocols and ensure only authorized individuals enter the facility. Maintain first aid supplies and adhere to emergency procedures.
Required Qualifications
- HS/GED required
- Must be 18 years of age
- Prior childcare or babysitting experience required
- Must have a CPR/AED and First Aid Certification OR get certified within 90 days of employment
- Must be able to follow directions and adhere to policies and procedures
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
