Job Summary
Provide a safe, secure and fun environment for the Child Watch program; assist with events; nurture children through purposeful interaction; change diapers when needed; ensure child safety; supervise activities and ADA accommodations; maintain program site and equipment; communicate effectively with parents; participate in mission-driven YMCA initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Current Infant/Child CPR certification required
- Knowledge and experience with the care and feeding of infants, toddlers and young children
- Ability and willingness to change diapers while using techniques to avoid the risk of exposure to blood or other bodily fluids
- Demonstrate maturity and strong interpersonal skills with the ability and willingness to approach participants in a non-threatening manner to manage behavior and diffuse potentially volatile situations
- Carrying, sitting, seeing, hearing, speaking, running, crouching, lifting (25 Lbs.), and walking
