Job Summary

Review, analyze, and evaluate child support cases for appropriate establishment and enforcement actions. Prepare records of payment, legal pleadings, and correspondence while updating computer records and performing locate activities. Negotiate settlements and agreed orders, and mediate between parties to resolve issues relating to child support payments. Monitor and manage the case log and perform other duties as assigned. This full-time position supports the Oklahoma Department of Human Services in initiating and processing child support enforcement cases.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license
  • Required car insurance
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one year of professional child support enforcement, accounting, legal, or social work for each year of the required education
  • Completion of an associate's degree in Legal Assistance or a closely related program of paralegal education
  • Completion of an associate's degree in Public Service – Legal Case Management
  • Completion of an American Bar Association-approved paralegal education program
  • Bachelor's degree and one year of professional experience in child support enforcement, accounting, legal, or social work
  • Master's degree
  • Juris doctorate degree
  • Associate's degree in Legal Assistance or a closely related program of paralegal education and two years of professional experience in child support enforcement, accounting, or social work
  • Associate's degree in Public Service – Legal Case Management and two years of professional experience in child support enforcement, accounting, or social work
  • Completion of an American Bar Association approved paralegal education program and two years of professional experience in child support enforcement, accounting, or social work
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one additional year of qualifying experience for each year of the required bachelor's degree
