Job Summary
Provide individualized supervision and therapeutic support to youth in residence, utilizing strength-based techniques to foster resilience and teach daily living skills. Manage household duties including cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation while escorting residents to appointments and facilitating family engagement. Offer counseling, assist with behavior management and crisis intervention, and ensure medication adherence under clinical supervision. Complete all required documentation and participate in service planning meetings and special events. Maintain a safe, trauma-informed environment that promotes independence and emotional growth for adolescents with serious emotional disturbances.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid New York State driver's license
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's degree
- Associate's degree in human services or a related field
- Experience working with children with emotional or behavioral needs
