Job Summary
Provide individualized supervision and therapeutic support to youth in residence within the Community Residence Program. Responsibilities include trauma-informed care, teaching daily living skills, skill development, household management (cleaning, laundry, meal planning), transportation to appointments and activities, facilitating family engagement and reunification, providing counseling and behavioral support, documenting all activities accurately, and participating in service planning and ensuring a therapeutic milieu that supports emotional growth for residents. Maintain safety and well-being, model positive behaviors, support residents’ independence, and collaborate with the program team to achieve residents’ goals while adhering to OMH standards and program guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or equivalent (required); Associate’s degree preferred.
- A valid New York State driver’s license (required).
- Experience working with children with emotional or behavioral needs (preferred).
