Job Summary
As Child Service Coordinator, provide classroom coverage across sites, support children and teachers in classroom management, contribute to educational plans aligned with Head Start Performance Standards, and tailor strategies to meet diverse needs. Lead disability and social-emotional training for staff, guide implementation of IEPs and screening tools, assist with enrollment and data reporting, and ensure resources and supports are in place for centers, home-based and partner sites. Travel to Easterseals and partner sites to supervise and support staff, conduct observations, provide strengths-based feedback, and develop professional development plans for instructional staff and paraprofessionals. Externally, coordinate with Regional Directors and Site Directors to address disability and mental health needs, support program planning for social-emotional and disability services, and help ensure compliance with Head Start standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Early childhood education, Child development, Special Education, Social Work, or related field
- 3-5 years of experience working with children with disabilities and/or behavioral concerns
- Experience in Head Start/Early Head Start
- Experience in PFA/PI
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care
