Job Summary
Lead a brand-new children's residential home in Spalding, Lincolnshire, providing full operational responsibility for care, safeguarding, and compliance. Recruit, develop, and supervise a high-performing team while embedding trauma-informed practice and Positive Behaviour Support approaches. Create a safe, stable environment that meets Ofsted standards and Children's Homes Regulations, managing complex behaviours with professionalism and compassion. Oversee care planning, risk assessments, and documentation for inspections, building relationships with local authorities, health professionals, and families. Prepare for inspections and maintain excellent governance standards to drive continuous improvement and outstanding care outcomes for young people with complex emotional and behavioural needs.
Required Qualifications
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
- At least 2 years' experience in a senior leadership role within a children's residential home
- Previous experience supporting children and young people with complex emotional and behavioural needs
- Excellent understanding of trauma-informed care and therapeutic practice
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation, Children's Homes Regulations and Ofsted requirements
- Outstanding leadership, communication and organisational skills
- A resilient, reflective and solution-focused approach
- Full UK driving licence
