Job Summary
Full-time on-campus Flex Houseparents reside in student homes with a two-person married-couple team to care for ~8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision/mentorship, managing routines and schedules, administering medications, driving to activities, planning and leading developmental/recreational activities, daily devotions, Sunday Chapel, budgeting and reporting, and transitioning to a placed houseparent role with the same students. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
Desired Qualifications

- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
