Job Summary
Two-person married couple role on-site at Milton Hershey School as Full-time Flex Houseparents. They live in on-campus student homes, supervise 8–13 students, provide mentorship, manage household routines and student schedules, administer medications, transport students to activities, plan and participate in developmental and recreational activities, lead daily devotions and Chapel attendance, oversee budgeting and household reporting, and transition to a placed houseparent when appropriate. Responsibilities include driving, coordinating activities, and fostering a structured, family-like environment to support students’ academic, emotional, and social development.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-spouse, legally married for at least two years
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
Additional Requirements
- Must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
