Job Summary
Child PA role at Milton Hershey School for married couples as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside in on-campus student homes (approx. 8–13 students) and provide daily supervision, mentorship, and support, including administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Schedule begins with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent living and working with the same group of students. Benefits include relocation assistance, paid training, medical/dental/vision, retirement savings, and other perks; salary is $44,768 per person (approximately $168,000 total per couple) with on-site housing, meals on duty, utilities, and more.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-spouse / two-person role must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
Additional Requirements
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must complete individual employment applications for consideration
- Must reside with students in on-campus homes
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
