Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents live on-campus with a group of 8–13 students, providing daily supervision, mentorship, medication administration, transportation to activities, and leadership of daily devotions and Sunday Chapel; initially nine days on, followed by three days off, with eventual placement as the same student-home Houseparents. The role requires both spouses to apply and work together in a two-person, on-site residential caregiving capacity, including budgeting, household reporting, and facilitating a structured, family-like environment to support students’ academic, emotional, and social development. Relocation assistance and paid training are provided; benefits include comprehensive medical, dental, and vision, retirement savings, and paid time off.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-spouse role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff as role models
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)

- No alcohol on duty
- Smoke-free and weapon-free campus
