Full-time Flex Houseparents for Milton Hershey School. A two-person married couple lives on-campus in student homes, providing care, supervision, and guidance for approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel, budgeting and housing reporting, and transitioning from nine consecutive days on duty with three days off to a Placed Houseparent role with the same group of students. Benefits include salary of $44,768 per person (approximately $168,000 total per couple) plus comprehensive benefits, relocation assistance, paid training, and paid time off. Qualifications include experience with youth, a legally married two-year minimum, both spouses age 27+, high school diploma or GED, valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and compliance with campus policies on smoking, weapons, and alcohol.
