Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents (two-person married couple) reside in on-campus student homes to supervise 8–13 students, provide care, supervision, and support, administer medications, transport students to activities, lead daily devotions and chapel, manage household routines and budgeting, and progress from a nine-on/three-off schedule to a placed houseparent.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must complete individual employment applications
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
- Two-person role for couples
- Residence on-campus in student homes
Additional Requirements
- Two-person, married-couple requirement
- Must be age 27 or older for both spouses
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
