Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents (two-person married couple) live on campus in a student home at Milton Hershey School to supervise and support 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and household reporting. The role follows a nine-on/three-off schedule initially, with eventual transition to a placed houseparent living with the same group of students. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-spouse, two-person role
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading devotions and chapel services
- Experience with youth
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- No alcohol on duty
