Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparent role at Milton Hershey School. Couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, mentorship, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel visits, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Schedule initially involves nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with progression to a placed Houseparent living with the same student group. Benefits include salary per person ($44,768) with total compensation around $168,000 per couple (includes housing and meals), comprehensive health benefits, relocation assistance, paid training, and PTO. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in devotions and Chapel services
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses age 27 or older
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; role-model behavior for students
