Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents reside on-campus and supervise 8–13 students in a family-like home, providing care, guidance, and supervision, including daily supervision, development of routines, medication administration, and transporting students to activities. The role involves leading devotions and Chapel attendance, budgeting and reporting duties, and supporting multiple student homes before transitioning to a Placed Houseparent role with a single student home. The position requires a two-person, legally married couple, both aged 27 or older, with a nine-days-on/three-days-off schedule initially, plus relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
