Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparent role on Milton Hershey School’s on-campus student homes in Lake Alfred, FL. Couples reside in student homes and provide daily supervision, mentorship, and care for approximately 8–13 students; responsibilities include administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and household reporting, and eventually transitioning to a placed houseparent. Requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid U.S. driver’s license with ability to become certified to drive student home vans, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. The role is a two-person, legally married couple position with a home-based, on-campus setting. For consideration, both spouses must complete individual employment applications.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
