Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparent role at Milton Hershey School. Couples reside in on-campus student homes, provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for ~8–13 students; responsibilities include supervising, mentoring, managing routines and schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning/developing activities, leading daily devotions and chapel, budgeting and reporting, with a nine-days-on/twelve-off cycle initially and eventual placement in a single student home; includes relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver's license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed
