Job Summary
Full-time two-person married-couple houseparent role at Milton Hershey School. The role involves residing in on-campus student homes to supervise and guide 8–13 students, provide care and mentorship, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan developmental and recreational activities, lead daily devotions and chapel, oversee budgeting and reporting, and follow a nine-on/three-off schedule with potential progression to a placed houseparent living with the same group of students. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Two spouses must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
