Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents reside on campus at Milton Hershey School to supervise and guide a group of approximately 8–13 students in a family-like home. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The role begins with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement in a single student home. Benefits include salary per person (~$44,768) plus comprehensive benefits and relocation assistance. This is a two-person role for legally married couples, with both spouses required to complete individual applications.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
