Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents (two-person married couple) reside in on-campus student homes to provide supervision, mentorship, and care for 8–13 students, administering medications, driving to activities, planning developmental/recreational activities, and leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel. Initially a nine-on, three-off schedule across multiple homes, with eventual placement into a single student home as a Placed Houseparent. Benefits include salary per person, housing, meals on duty, comprehensive insurance, retirement, relocation assistance, and paid training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Pet limitations: only fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
- To be considered, both spouses must complete individual employment applications
