Two-person married-couple Full-time Flex Houseparents reside on Milton Hershey School’s on-campus homes, providing daily supervision, mentorship, and care for a group of about 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising routines and schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and household reporting, and initially working a nine-on/three-off schedule before transitioning to a placed houseparent role with the same student group. Qualifications require a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license with the ability to become certified to drive student vans, and a commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus with no alcohol on duty. The role targets legally married couples for at least two years, with both spouses typically age 27 or older. Relocation assistance and paid training are provided, along with comprehensive benefits.
