Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents reside on-campus in student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring students, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The role begins with a nine-on/three-off schedule and may transition to a Placed Houseparent role living and working with the same student group. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two years or more married for the role
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Ability to reside on-campus as part of a two-person married couple
- Willingness to complete individual employment applications (two-person requirement)
Additional Requirements
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
