Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparent role on Milton Hershey School campus in Hershey, PA. Couples reside in on-campus student homes and supervise and mentor groups of 8–13 students, manage household routines, supervise medications, drive students to activities, plan and participate in development and recreational activities, lead daily devotions, and accompany students to Sunday Chapel. The role follows a nine-on, three-off cycle initially, with eventual placement in a fixed student home. Compensation is $44,768 per person (+ benefits) with relocation assistance provided. Requires high school diploma or GED, valid U.S. driver’s license, ability to lift to 50 lbs, and both spouses must be legally married for at least two years and at least 27 years old. Applicants must have experience with youth, be able to lead devotional activities, and maintain a smoke-free and weapon-free campus.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; role models for students
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
