Job Summary
Flex Houseparents (two-person, married couple) will reside in on-campus student homes at Milton Hershey School and provide daily supervision, mentorship, and care for a group of 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising routines and schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and leading developmental/recreational activities, guiding daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning from a nine-days-on/three-days-off schedule to a placed houseparent arrangement. Requires experience with youth, ability to lift 50 lbs, valid driver’s license, and a commitment to a smoke-free, weapon-free campus; school provides relocation assistance and paid training; salary per person is $44,768 (approximated $168K total per couple) with comprehensive benefits. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-spouse/Two-person role must apply individually
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Commitment to on-campus, weapon-free, smoke-free environment
- Comfort leading daily devotions and chapel services
- Experience with youth or volunteering with youth
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
- No more than three dependent children in home
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
