Job Summary
Two-person married couple Full-time Flex Houseparents reside in on-campus student homes at Milton Hershey School, providing care, supervision, mentorship, and support for 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, overseeing routines, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and reporting, and transitioning from initial nine-on/three-off duty to a placed houseparent living with the same group of students. Benefits include salary per person plus comprehensive benefits and relocation assistance. Requires both spouses to complete individual employment applications.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for married couples
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Experience with youth preferred
