Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents live on campus in student homes, provide day-to-day supervision, mentorship, and care for a group of 8–13 students, manage household routines and student schedules, administer medications, transport students to activities, plan and participate in developmental and recreational activities, and lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel. The role begins with a nine-on, three-off schedule across multiple homes and ultimately transitions to a placed Houseparent role living with the same student group. Benefits include salary per person ($44,768) plus comprehensive medical/dental/vision, retirement options, relocation assistance and paid training, and paid time off.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with youth (working or volunteering)
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
