Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents: married couples reside in on-campus student homes to provide care, supervision, and support for 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring students, managing household routines, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions, accompanying Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and reporting, and transitioning from nine days on/three days off to a placed houseparent model living with the same group of students. Benefits include a per-person salary of $44,768 (approx. $168k total per couple with housing/meal benefits), comprehensive insurance, retirement options, relocation assistance, paid training, and PTO.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
