Job Summary
Two-person married couple Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School will reside in on-campus student homes to supervise and guide 8–13 students, coordinating daily routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The role begins with a nine-on, three-off schedule across student homes and transitions to a Placed Houseparent position living and working with the same group of students. Relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits are provided.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
