Job Summary
Two-person married couple role serving as Full-time Flex Houseparents on-campus at Milton Hershey School. Residents oversee a group of approximately 8–13 students in a home setting, providing daily supervision, mentorship, and supervision of routines. Responsibilities include managing household schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and reporting. The position follows an initial nine-on, three-off duty cycle with eventual placement into a consistent Houseparent assignment with the same student group. Relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits are provided; training and on-site housing meals are included. A valid U.S. driver’s license and the ability to become certified to drive student home vans are required. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, and both spouses must apply individually for consideration.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Proven experience with youth preferred
