Job Summary
Two-person married couple needed as Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School to provide daily supervision, mentorship, medication administration, transportation, devotional activities, budgeting, and transition to a Placed Houseparent, serving a group of approximately 8–13 students in on-campus homes. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring students, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel, overseeing budgeting and reporting, and following a schedule of nine days on with three days off before moving into a single-houseparent assignment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for married couples
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in devotions and attending Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel
- Two years married minimum (for couples)
- No more than three dependent children in the home
- Commitment to smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- Background in youth work or volunteering with youth
Additional Requirements
- Must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must complete individual applications
- No alcohol on duty
- Propensity to lead spiritual activities within Judeo-Christian context
