Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School reside in on-campus student homes to provide care, supervision, and mentorship for 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising daily routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and leading developmental/recreational activities, and guiding devotional practices and Sunday Chapel. Initially rotating through multiple homes on a nine-on, three-off cycle, then transitioning to a placed houseparent role with the same student group. Benefits include salary per person, comprehensive insurance, relocation assistance, paid training, and PTO. Requires high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and both spouses must be legally married for at least two years and age 27 or older; employment applications must be completed individually by both spouses.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Demonstrated ability to lift 50 lbs
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
- Proven experience working or volunteering with youth
- Ability to commit to on-campus residence and supervision duties
- Ability to pass background checks and safety screenings
- Ability to work a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule
