Job Summary
Two-person married-couple Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA. They reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, supervision, and guidance for approximately 8–13 students, including administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting, and reporting on household affairs. The role begins with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement in a single student home. Benefits include housing, meals, health/dental/vision insurance, retirement options, and relocation assistance. For consideration, both spouses must complete individual employment applications.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
Additional Requirements
- Couples must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must complete individual employment applications
- Smok e-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Pet limits: fish and one dog of approved breeds
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
