Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents on Milton Hershey School campus live in on-campus student homes to provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring students, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and participating in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning to a Placed Houseparent role over time. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with the potential for relocation support and paid training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Becoming certified to drive student home vans
- Must be legally married for at least two years (two-person role)
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus
