Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents reside in on-campus student homes, providing supervision, mentorship, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students; responsibilities include supervising daily routines, administering medications, transporting students to activities, leading daily devotions and chapel, budgeting and reporting, and transitioning from nine days on/three days off to a placed houseparent role with the same student group; the position requires a two-spouse, legally married couple, both 27+ years old, with a high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and experience with youth; relocation assistance and paid training provided; union of benefits includes medical, dental, vision, and retirement options.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Two-spouse role; legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Pet limitations: only fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples
- MHS staff serve as role models for students
