Job Summary
This Full-time, two-person role places a married couple as Flex Houseparents on the Milton Hershey School campus in Hershey, PA. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring 8–13 students per home, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and leading developmental and recreational activities, daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement in a single student home. Benefits include a salary of $44,768 per person (approximately $168,000 total per couple), comprehensive health coverage, relocation assistance, paid training, and paid time off. Qualifications require a high school diploma or GED, experience with youth, a valid U.S. driver’s license with driver certification ability for student vans, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff are role models
- Relocation assistance and paid training provided
- On-campus housing provided as part of compensation
- Willingness to complete individual employment applications for both spouses
- Proficiency in leading daily devotions and Chapel services
- High school diploma or GED required
