Job Summary
Flex Houseparents are a two-person, married-couple role living on-campus in a student home, providing daily supervision, mentorship, and a structured family-like environment for about 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising and guiding students, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions, and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel. The role starts with a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule across multiple homes, with eventual placement into a single student-home setting. Benefits include salary per person ($44,768) with total compensation around $168,000 per couple, comprehensive health and retirement benefits, relocation assistance, paid training, and paid time off.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Two-spouse married for at least two years
- Both spouses aged 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children in the home
- Commitment to smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Proven integrity and professionalism; model for students
